Terms of Service

By using NovionCore (the "service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use NovionCore. You may use the service only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

2. Account responsibilities

• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• Keep your Discord login secure. NovionCore authenticates exclusively via Discord.
• API keys you generate (for Roblox or other game integrations) are your responsibility to keep secret. Revoke any compromised keys immediately from the Manage tab.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use NovionCore to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm any person.
• Distribute illegal content or content that violates Discord's or Roblox's terms.
• Impersonate other users or community staff.
• Attempt to break, exploit, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Use the service to facilitate real-world emergency dispatch. NovionCore is for roleplay only and is not a substitute for 911 or any emergency service.

4. Community ownership and content

Communities you create are managed by you ("the owner"). The owner is responsible for:

• Approving members and assigning roles.
• Content posted in their community (calls, shouts, BOLOs, characters, etc.).
• Compliance with applicable laws regarding the data they collect from members.

NovionCore acts as a platform host. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and payments

• Free trials are 15 days. After the trial, the community owner may subscribe to continue using paid features.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel any time via the Customer Portal.
• Refunds are evaluated case-by-case. Pro-rated refunds are not guaranteed.
• Promotional perks (founding-member badges, free subscriptions) are granted at our discretion and may be revoked for terms violations.

6. Third-party services

NovionCore integrates with Discord, Roblox, Stripe, and Cloudflare. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or behavior.

7. Service availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance and outages will be announced where possible. See status.novioncore.com for live status.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@novioncore.com.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. NovionCore makes no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NovionCore is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via Discord and email. Continued use after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in your community owner's jurisdiction.
